Code

During the years I developed and contributed to various interesting projects with great joy. So I will keep doing today and in the future. All projects are open-source and free to use.

MonitManager

MonitManager is my latest project. It is a server application that provides a centralized interface to monitor and control UNIX-like operating systems. MonitManager gets its information from so called "agents" running on the machines to be monitored and controlled.

YaBB

As one of the senior developers I made some significant contributions to the core of YaBB 2 and 3. YaBB is written in Perl and was the first free and open-source forum system.

ESME

ESME (Easy Site Management Engine) was certainly a masterpiece for its time, but was never finished. In 2002 I started writing this Perl web-framework. The basic idea was to create a framework similar to what Django and Rails is today. It was designed to be fast and efficient. I've spent a tremendous amount of time in this project and implemented several algoritms learned during my study to speed things up.

Some other projects I've contributed to:

  • SOLR (enterprise search server, based on Lucene)
  • Django (web framework, Python)
  • Datamapper (ORM, Ruby)
  • Monit (UNIX System Management)
  • Ferret (Ruby implemention of Lucene)
