Jeffrey Gelens is a computer specialist working and living in Japan. I'm Dutch, married and a father. This website is about life, computer technology and other topics I find interesting.

Brief biography

I was born in 1984 in Groningen, The Netherlands. In 1995 I moved to a small village called Haaksbergen, located in the east of The Netherlands. 4 years later I moved back to Groningen. There I finished the last few years of high school and eventually, in 2002, joined the University of Groningen to study Computing Science. Three years later I had to the opportunity to study abroad in Japan, and the same year I ended up in Japan. I felt home pretty quick - especially because I met my wonderful wife soon after. I finished my study at the University of Groningen remotely from Japan. I succeeded and got my B.Sc. in Computing Science in 2006. At the same time I finished my study and research about Augmented Reality at Osaka University.

Currently I am working as System and Software Engineer at the number one ASP recommendation company of Japan.
