Japanese healthcare, part 2: Rejection by 9 hospitals

A while ago I wrote about how the Japanese healthcare system works.

Just now I read the following:

A pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage Wednesday after nine hospitals refused to admit her and an ambulance carrying her collided with a minivan in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture, while on its way to another hospital, police and local firefighters said…

This is so damn unbelievable. I don’t understand at all why they don’t improve such simple things in such a modern country. Anyway, here the full article. What do you think about it?

Maar waarom hebben die 9 ziekenhuizen haar dan niet toegelaten? Of heb ik daar overheen gelezen?

Das normaal hier, zitten ze zogenaamd vol ze of willen ze de verantwoordelijkheid niet nemen of Mami zei dat ze niet echt genoeg dokters die kunnen helpen. En de vrouw had zich ook niet van tevoren aangemeld bij een ziekenhuis ofzo. Naja, dan nog.
