Catching up 3

It has been a while since I wrote my last blog entry. So, it’s time to summarize the last few weeks.

December the 18th we went again to the Kobe luminarie. This time we sneaked in through the back, so we didn’t have to walk 10km in busy streets to the main event. It was not my idea though!

The whole event was exactly the same as last year. All lights were the same, the shapes were the same and even the food stands were the same. The only difference is that I have a girlfriend this year :-)

The 23rd was our 1 year anniversary! Time just flies and so much changed in just one year. I finished university, found a temporary job and now a full time job. I moved to my own new house for the first time and even together with my girlfriend. I know her for almost 1 year and 3 months now, but it felt like forever. For the 23rd I reserved a dinner and cruise on a pretty big ship. That day was very special. I’m happy my girlfriend enjoyed. Later she gave me a new Citizen wristwatch. Probably expensive.

One week later it was my girlfriend’s birthday! I bought a salad dryer and some “aroma-therapy” machine together with some nice aroma smells. From my parents she got some Dutch klompen. Of course she also got some other presents from Holland. As dinner we went to an expensive but very nice kushigatsu restaurant.

Around new year we went my girlfriend’s parents place on Awaji Island to celebrate new year with them and the rest of the family. Of course I could barely speak with them, but I’ve got the impression that they like me. So that’s ok. Around 12 o’clock we went to a shrine to do a wish. Quite different from the dutch new year.

2 days later we went to Kyoto. Also this year my girlfriend went in her beautiful kimono. We walked around for a few hours and eventually went for dinner.

Yesterday we visited some friends in Osaka because they just got a baby and because they will move to Holland in April :-( We really enjoyed yesterday evening, thanks!

Well, that was my blog post for today, a short summarization of the past month(s). Next time I will tell about my adventures in Azeroth ;-P
