Kansai TV

Yes, I have been on the Japanese television. Cool isn’t it? Spot the Jeffrey:

You probably didn’t see me, did you? :p You could see my back in the first part, I was wearing a white/blue striped t-shirt. Just a few seconds, but still fun :P It’s a program about interesting facts in the business world. The company where I work, Silver Egg Technologies, is market leader with its cutting edge recommendation software. Most IT-companies are located in areas like Tokyo. Kansai is a not so famous in the IT-world, but it’s getting better lately.

I’m happy with my current job. I learn a lot on all kinds of areas: administration and maintaining servers, programming, researching technologies, etc. Really diverse. It’s a good job, fun to do and the people are nice. My communication with the Japanese staff is still messy, but it’s getting better slowly – we can talk about the most important stuff. Most of the computer terms are some Japanese form of English, so pretty easy to guess.
My listening skills are still improving greatly (I can almost follow everything during the meetings), but I really should start putting more effort in my speaking skills.

Update: The video on Youtube is taken offline (copyright issues :/). Ah well, I’ll upload it on my own server soon.
