Parents back to Holland

Well, the two weeks are over and my parents left for The Netherlands again yesterday. My girlfriend and I went to the hotel at 7am in the morning to have a breakfast together with my parents. Their breakfast was included in the hotel costs, so we had to pay seperately. The food was pretty diverse and really nice. My girlfriend ate some nattou (soy beans which most foreigners don’t like). My dad brought some to his hotel room earlier, but as soon as he opened the package he threw it away because of the bad smell.

Anyway, my parents already checked out, so soon after breakfast we walked to the station where my girlfriend and parents said goodbye. She really enjoyed the time with my parents. Communication was not a problem at all. I’m really glad because of that. When I meet my girlfriends’ parents I expect more problems in this area, but that’s ok. In the near future I can talk more Japanese anyway.

After waving each other goodbye, it took about 40 minutes to go by train to the Kansai International Airport. A little faster than the bus. My parents checked in. After that we drank some coffee at an expensive coffee shop at the station. We talked, we talked, we talked… till it was time to leave. I waved, my parents waved and gone were they…

Today they arrived well, without the fake jetlag a lot of people seem to have.
