Birthday parties

Together with Mami, Shino, Andras and Stephen I had a birthday party at Toka in Umeda. This is the second time I’ve been here, the place is great. Francis was also supposed to come to the party, however he didn’t show up at the meeting place. We waited for about 20 minutes. Pity. Ah well, it was fun, except that Shino’s her boyfriend is no longer a boyfriend since that evening :(. She was calling for a long time.
22nd Birthday party
Mami bought a delicious cake with strawberries, which we ate at the restaurant. Before we left I got a free drink with sparkling fire stick (you know these fireworks). Thanks for the great night people!
On the way back Andras missed his last train, he took a taxi to home. Mami and I invited him to stay overnight at her place, but he didn’t want to.
The photo’s of my birthday party. (login if you are in my friend list on Flickr, you’ll see some more photo’s then).

Yesterday I had another birthday party, this time it was Andras his. He also became 22, so I’m just a few days older. First Mami and I started a search for a nice present, eventually we decided to buy a new plant for Andras his room. Andras liked it very much :-). First we went to an Italian restaurant above Yodobashi at the 8th floor. It was pretty boring because we didn’t have one large table. The food was ok, but I didn’t like the restaurant very much. Later we went to a bar called “Bar, isn’t it?”, cool name, isn’t it? :P This was pretty fun.

The professor of my lab invited the whole lab to his house for a late New Year’s dinner last Sunday. The food was so nice and looked so expensive. He got a giant television! 8) It is funny to see the behaviour of my supervisor when he’s drunk. See the picture below.
Late New Year's dinner
His house was pretty far from home though. About 1,5 to 2 hours travelling by train. It is somewhere between Osaka and Nara. The Japanese people teached me and the other foreign students from the lab some Japanese words were we shouldn’t know about, which was pretty fun either.
Take a look at the photos.

A week full of parties and writing reports… The next party is in 2 weeks, the farewell party of Janette and Shirley.
